Questions agents ask about their own market
Do I need an MLS or IDX feed for a property website?
In most of the world there is no MLS to feed from. Outside the United States and Canada, listings are held by the agent, the developer or a portal that does not syndicate, so a website built around an IDX feed has nothing to display. You add the property yourself instead.
Does this work in my country?
Yes. Plans are charged in your own currency in the markets we price locally (rupees in India, and for example pounds, euros, dirhams or Australian dollars), and in US dollars elsewhere, the licence field is labelled with whatever your market calls it, and there are dedicated pages for forty markets covering how property is marketed in each.
What is the agent licence called in my market?
It differs: RERA registration in India, a real-estate licence in the United States, RICS or Propertymark membership in the United Kingdom, a RERA or Trakheesi permit in the UAE. Each market page names the one that applies and it is printed on your public profile.
Which currency will buyers see?
The one the property is priced in. Prices are never converted — a brokerage or a listing price is shown in its own market's currency, because an exchange rate applied to a property price is wrong by the time anyone reads it.
